I am worried I have a problem. I know I don't have an eating disorder yet but I worry about myself. I am 4'11 and weigh 96 pounds, which is normal but...I have been restricting my calorie intake to a minimum and weigh myself about 15 times a day. I am worried this could become a worse problem. I always think bad thouhts about my body and I just want them to stop. What do I do?

As great as it would be, You cannot just "pull yourself up" and change your mind. I think you need to slowly, gradually, and sub-conciously hang around people who will make you feel more comfortable with yourself.

Busy yourself with fun activities like dating boys, playing a sport, etc... and hide the scale, eventually you'll forget about it.

According to the chart on hand, you have an eating disorder called anorexia. For your height the chart shows that you should weight at least 104 to 115 pounds and that 85-97 pounds is anorexic. People at eating disorder clinics specialize in your symptoms. Who told you that 96 pounds is normal?

If you stop now or at the very least take steps to stop this destructive thinking now you will save yourself a lot of pain.
It is already a problem and you are smart to look for help before it gets worse. Talk to anyone who you trust and ask them to help you develop a healthy perspective of yourself.
You are not the only teenager who hates their bodies or themselves. Just do not let it misguide you into destructive behavior.

Its not the eating problem you should worry about. Its the paranoia. Based on your height/weight I'm guessing you are about 11-13 years old.? You're too young to worry about that. Once you realize that, you can start being more comfortable with yourself

Talk to your doctor before a problem arises. Or there are anonymous hot lines for those sort of things. Or talk to your parents. Just remember, your beautiful no matter what you weigh.
