I would like to buy Ravioli Wrappers...I looked EVERYWHERE for these.
Similar to the Wonton Wrappers sols in Asian Markets. I know that these can be used for Ravioli but I think they are an inferior subsitute.
I have seen sheets of Pasta sold in Italian markets that can either be used for Lasagne or Ravioli but again I am not looking for Sheets I am looking for pre-cut packaged Ravioli Wrappers.

Please don't answer this with a recipe for Ravioli dough because that is NOT my question.

Please don't waste your time writing posts offering substitues! I am not asking for alternatives. I am asking where I can buy such a product.

I do not think that you are going to find ravioli wrappers as you will wonton wrappers. I have never seen pre-packaged ravioli wrappers. Ravioli dough is rather particular, is less forgiving than wonton wrappers, and does not package very well unless it is frozen....and then it is stuffed so it does not fall apart when thawed. Either you will have to cut pre-made dough like you find in Italian markets or you will have to make your own ravioli. It is easy to cut yourself. Here's how: Cut the sheet into an even amount of squares. Using a teaspoon fill the center of half with the filling. Brush around the filling with the egg wash and place the remaining squares on top. Press down around the seal to push out any air bubbles.

I've never seen such a product, and I usually make my ravioli pasta from scratch, but why not just cut the packaged pasta sheets into quarters? Two cuts and the entire job is done. Usually I use the packages stuff I make four ravioli on a sheet, put on a top sheet, seal and cut. Fast, efficient and the Italian way. fresh pasta sheets can be found in most major groceries.

I have not seen ready made ravioli wrappers. As you mentioned, won ton wrappers and pasta sheets. You can use the pasta sheets -- lay one down, top w filling, lay another sheet over the filling & cut to size (and seal w eggwash or water). Another way to go is buy the pasta sheets, fill em & use a *raviol maker or ravioli rolling pin sold for that purpose, or a stamp. There are several on the net. (There's one I want to buy shaped in a star, I saw somewhere on the net -- a little pricey, but very pretty.)

Edited to add: When I make my own (& you can do this with the pasta sheets), I use a pizza cutter or -- don't laugh -- a tracing wheel from the fabric store (but only use it for cutting pasta).

I've never seen pre-cut fresh ravioli dough. Even freshpasta.com only sells the sheets. If you find a source, let us know, I'd like to be able to get some as well. My guess is that they're not out there, though.

The Wonton wrappers ARE the ravioli wrappers. Exactly the same thing, or at least they are the same thing HERE for restaurants I have been operating.

I will now be looking for what you say is in the itialian markets!

Happy 2007 !

No, I have never heard of Ravioli wrappers and I haven't the slightest idea where you could get them.

I don't know where you live but....TESCO! If you're in the UK, you'll know what that is (a supermarket). Otherwise, sorry! Tesco sell them as sheets (wait for it) with score lines on them, so you just have to cut along the lines to get the individual wrappers! I use them a lot.

NO NO No Kitty (the so called-chef) is so wrong!

There are not the same thing at all. Wonton wrappers usually have no egg and are a much different consistency.

Kitty...You are no longer allowed to refer to yourself as a chef
