I disagree with the answer above mine.
It is completely safe to use your electric toothbrush daily. And, in fact, it will probably help PREVENT your gums from receding. Most electric toothbrushes these days have a sensor that stops the head from oscillating when you are applying too much pressure. This helps remind you to use only a light touch when brushing your teeth and helps prevent any damage to your gums.
Also, electric toothbrushes have a vibration that you don't get with a manual toothbrush that helps move plaque more effectively.
I am a dental hygienist, and I can definitely see a difference when my patient is regularly using an electric brush rather than a manual toothbrush.
Good luck. It is worth the money for sure.

I'd actually be careful. I used to use my electric toothbrush all the time but I was warned by the dentist to be careful of my gums receding because some toothbrushes can be quite powerful. Now I use a normal toothbrush in the morning and my electric toothbrush at night on top of the usual flossing and the like. I always sometimes buy toothpaste that prevents gums receding.

there is nothing wrong with brushing your teeth every day with an electric toothbrush, but you have to remember to use toothpaste as well so your teeth get the flouride to help them stay strong.

I even have never heard of an "electric" toothbrush. that would desire to pose an excellent wellness threat, in terms of entering touch with water, do not you think of? in line with risk you're thinking some BATTERY operated brush?
