We have already lost one war on drugs. Pres. George H.W. Bush stated to the American people, "We are starting a new war on drugs." That means that we must have lost the first one.

In my opinion, the war on drugs will stop when there can be no more money made on them.

When we smarten up and legalize the damn things! It's not as though more people would start using this crap because we would need to put the same restrictions on drugs as we now do on alcohol.

Any one now, who wants to use this stuff, is using this stuff. It's the easiest thing in the world to get your hands on, and all they do is laugh at the law as they shoot some more of the impure crap into their veins. At least with legalization, we can eliminate the stuff that's killing people. We can also tax this crap, eliminate turf wars and drug killings, plus reduce the size of the almost useless ATF, or whatever agency out there that isn't able to keep up.

The war on drugs should never cease. Drugs are self destructive and users sell to innocent children.

I don't know. Probably never. Being perceived as weak on the drug issue doesn't help with getting elected, so not many politicians are going to take that chance. I think drug abuse should be treated more as a health issue than a crime issue. Selling and pushing drugs should be a crime, but I don't think using should be.

The so called,"War On Drugs" is nothing more than a campaign of terror tactics that politicians use to gain funding & political clout. So as long as we citizens, who are supposedly represented by our govmt. leaders, remain apathetic & ignorant of "The "War..." America will just keep on fighting.

Ask yourself this...

Do you believe that ilicit drugs are illegal because they are dangerous?

OR...

Are said drugs dangerous because they are illegal?
