There are a bunch of different ways to straighten hair. Temporarily you can use a blow dryer to dry it straight. Or you can buy a ceramic flat iron to make it straight. This seems to be most effective, especially after blow drying hair. There are tons and tons of hair products on the market that will help temporarily straighten hair, just look at your local drug store or beauty supply house to check them out.

If you want permanently straight hair you'll have to go to a hairdresser. You can get thermal reconditioning, aka japanese straightening. This is a permanent method that lasts about 6-8 months before needing a touch up. There are also other chemicals that straighten hair, just ask your hairdresser.

I Use A Ceramic Conair Straightener, However If You Want Your Hair Straightened For More Than A Day Or Permanently, I Would Suggest A Professional Hair Stylist, A Good One. Ask Your Friends Who They Recommend. This Is The Best And Safest Way To Be Happy With The Results.

well get a half way decent pair of straighteners - thin if you have little or short hair and thick if you have thick hair. The brand is up to you, but Remington's are incredible. Get ones with a temperature control so you can check you hair more and react appropriately. Use a good designer spray on your hair, one that minimises hair damage - i use trevor Sorbie. FInally straighten it in sections - too much at one time just makes the effect less. Bring the straighteners through slowly at first until straight. When finish VERY quickly run them through (you should finish that within a minute). Then avoid the rain. :)

split your hair into sections 2 on the top and 2 underneath. starting underneath slowly pull hair straightener's through a small section starting at the root and finishing at the ends off your hair. carry this on until all of the lower section is done, next do exactly the same with the top section of hair. be sure to keep the hair pulled straight while the straightener is pulling through .

Iron it. With a clothes iron. But don't do it yourself! Have a friend or parent do it. Just lay down somewhere with a towel under your hair and iron it out, like you would a shirt. I do bottom layers first, then top layers. It works way better than any Chi or Conair straigtener!

Andis is one of the greatest flat irons that I've used. It really works and is not expensive at all.

I straighten my hair with Soft and Beautiful Botanicals. It's gentle and doesn't aggravate my scalp.

Spray hair-iron friendly spray in your hair to protect from split ends/fried hair.

Then use little 1-inch strands to start with.

I'd recommend
