they have something like nair... I forget what it's called, but it works really well. it's made just for that area... you just put the cream on and leave it for like 10 minutes and then wipe it off with a warm cloth and it's gone!

shaving.. i've tried the wax and NEVER again will i do that. ouch! but don't shave every day.. you will get ingrown hairs and they really suck!
