I really like the dark red colour that you've used now on your walls. Since you have a very dark bed and a neutral wood floor, white would go well. But if you want to be a little adventurous, a friend of mine has a similar rusty red colour on their walls, but they used a bright apple green (like the Granny Smith apples) as an accent colour. It looks amazing! They didn't use the colour as wall paint, but used a lot of accents - pillows, table cloth, a bowl of apples, etc and it really pops. I think the bright green would go well with your dark furniture & wood floor as well.

Hope that helps - good luck!

Pull in the brown by using brown in trims and such. The Orange is a bit light but that's okay. You should use a natural color like white to brake up the dark colors and keep the windows light and don't do too much to the windows. Good luck and congrats on the new place!

Well, since it is one big room, I would due red and cream (one wall red and the rest cream). Red and yellow is also beautiful together. I also like warm inviting colors like tan accented with burgundy, or orange decoration to bring out the tan color. Click links below to get ideas. Good Luck

Do something BOLD and different. I'd say use the following colors; (click links to view

Gold and cream

light gray with black decor (consider adding red decorations)

One wall burnt orange and cream(similar to these colors)

Red & yellow will be cool also.
