I am not sure but my hair dresser told me to get some of the color out to kind of lighten it to use laundry soap to shampoo your hair with it. It might lighten it up alittle.

Highlights ARE bleached out. If you want them to go away, dye your hair a darker color. The cost depends on the box of hair color you buy, which can run from $3 to $12. Yes, you can do it at home - just go to the drugstore and pick up a box of hair color. The directions are inside the box.

what do you mean by "bleach OUT highlights"
are you trying to get highlights... or get rid of them?
