Just like everything else in India, they are overloaded. Look at the number of people they are serving, compared to embassies/consulates of other countries. For example, Atlanta is just one city that India's Houston consulate serves; and see how many Indians are there in Atlanta and how fast that number is growing. We have it in our blood to overdo anything and everything. With our enormous capacity to increase population in every part of the world, what else do you expect ?

I have had the same experience with them here in Sydney. I cant believe they will not even response at all your emails and phone messages. I guess they carry the same attitude as they do back home where the sheer amount of queries does not allow them to attend to them properly.

Lack of training and funds does not help them either and lack of guidance from the superiors make matters worse. Wonder they are aware their service is seriously lacking professionalism?
