Forever, buy as your hair grows out you need to re-dye it!

Well, all I can say is that how long it stays in your hair depends on your actual hair and all the different chemicals you use in it everyday. (gel, hairspray, etc.)
From my experience, permanant hair color is not permanent in my hair. It washes out within two months. And I do not used anything but hairspray.

permanent hair color lasts until it gets cut off. However the color will fade unless you do "touch ups" every 4 to 6 weeks.

well it is permanent... so it won't go away until it grows all the way out.... however, it will fade and grow out and you'll have roots... so you would have to get it retouched every 6-8 weeks and maybe freshen up the ends a bit with a semi.

It stays in until your hair starts to grow out. Seriously, the color will not leave your hair.

About one year; it depnd on how long you want it to stay. If you want it to stay for only 4 months then use less but if you want it to stay lonegr use more.
