just took ownership of an old L reg renault espace thinking of putting it bak on the road anyone own one who could give me an idea of what there like?

good motor if looked after properly.most parts are dealer only .run for ever

Wonderful machine much better than the new Espace. Electrical problems do crop up especially the cooling fan fuse and switches, so watch out. Also do NOT go to a car wash with underside wash as the distributor is placed on the underside of the engine and water tends to get in. If the engine is hot and you do this expect a cracked distributor cap. Happened to me on the way to a wedding. Expensive spares and body work repairs as dealer only parts. Otherwise a joy to drive for long distances.

Piccie on the front of the Haynes Manual should help ya see what they look like in a newish condition.

ive had two now wouldnt have any other motor comfy to drive just a few electrical problems

mate of mine had one, he spent hours re-attaching the door handles as they kept falling off.
