When I say scam I will give an example. A person gets stopped for speeding then wants to challenge the ticket because the officer's name is not legible. Or how about a person who is not white gets arrested for burglary and gives the excuse that he or she is oppressed or discriminated against and can't earn money which is why he or she stole?

Because this culture has become blameless. For instance, the person who burnt their mouth on coffee and then blamed McDonalds or people who fall and blame the property owner. Whats worse are the idiots they put on a jury who are stupid enought to allow these people to win these cases. I think you should have to have a certain IQ to even be able to be on a jury. Sometimes I think the 'common man' is just a bit too common.

Morals have changed over the years. I used to work as a security officer at a grocery store and once caught this woman taking a whole shopping cart full of filet mignons.lobster tails in ice, champagne, briskets, charcoal, beer, and several cartons of cigarrettes. She claimed she took this stuff because her children were hungry. But then, she turned into a lawyer giving me all these statutes from the Texas Penal Code about her rights for being detained, lol.
Like my mom and dad would tell me and my brothers and sisters when we were kids;"If you've done wrong, tighten up your belt and have the balls to admit it".(Sounds more impressive in Spanish, lol)

I agree with Bill - add to that the concept promoted by most (not all) religions that have formed modern societyies. The idea is that whatever sins we have committed, all we need do is but ask and all responsibility is removed from us. A desire to avoid consequences of poor decision making, and the easy out of divine forgiveness has allowed free societies to demonize the police for doing the job we have asked of them, rather than give them a pat on the back for doing it well - like the idea of: there should be a law about that, then being caught doing it yourself....

Some people recognize fault through a different concept as others do, if a person does not feel that they were at fault, then they might not be pulling a scam!!

In my opinion, the key word here is responsibility. Irresponsible people commit crimes, then refuse to take responsibility for there actions.
