I have blue eyes and fair skin. Would a light black hair look good on me?

Yes. it would bring out the content and texture of your face and because of that you have to clean your face extra hard because when hair color brings out in your face, it like your face it being magnified. Your eyes would be more visible.

I have the same coloring and have also tried this a few different times. Its best to not get anything black. Dark brown will look black with light skin tone. I also tried cherry, mahogany and walnut. It was nice for a dramatic dark look, but those colors have some more depth with a reddish tinge. Light black hair would not really look good because I feel it would not blend in naturally with your skin and eyes. A lighter color like a medium blond or a color with red tones or highlights would be nice.

This is just my opinion, you remember to do what you feel in good for you. If you are happy with the light black, that is really all that matters.

I think it looks really bad when people with fair skin dye their hair black. It contrasts against your skin sooo powerfully that it looks wrong. Also, anything dark in your face would standout, therefore dark rigs around your eyes would stand out more.

Go for a neutral combination, like light brown with honey highlights or something.

light black hair? I think that's called gray. If you want to look like an old woman, then yes. But if you mean dark brown hair, then yeah..the contrast between your light eyes and skin and dark hair would make you stand out. If you like to be noticed and get lots of attention, then go for it, but if you like to blend in with the crowd, dont do it.

there's no such thing as light black. light black would be gray. i have green eyes and fair skin and i have naturally dark brown hair. it really depends on you. for example, i know anything darker would make me look pale and wouldn't be flattering, while anything lighter would make me look pasty, which also isn't a good look.
if you want to color your hair, go for it. besides, if it's not right, you can always change it back.

Only if you add a slight bit/tint of red to it, otherwise, as another answerer implied, it could start looking a bit gray and "witch-ish". Another option is just to work on your body tone because it elaborates on your "human features" (not to mention your energy level).

Turns out my girlfriend is also blue eyed and fair skinned (Irish decent) and she has experimented with hair dyes (slight red tint turned out the best of them) but she still looks best, by far, with natural very dark brown/black-ish hair...the kind of guys who go for brunettes or girls with black hair often go for natural looking women. So if you want to do something to look good, you might want to try something more natural than hair dye.

HI..sounds like my complexion! I have tried dark brown and found the colour washed me right out. I use Feria #62--light irradescent brown. I have used it religiously for about 2 years, and thats after trying nearly every shade of every colour out there. It really bringds out the blue in my eyes. You should try it!

Probibly not...take a picture of yourself and color your hair the color of your choice with a marker or a pen...it won't be an exact representation but it will give you an idea of what it will look like...or go to a shop that sells wigs and try one on that has hair similar to the style you will be going for in the color of your choice...take a friend that will tell yo uthe truth, not one that will lie and tell you that you look good no matter what!
