She sounds sick! Poor thing. Give her access to lots of fresh water, encourage her to drink. Moniter her "output". If she doesn't have any bowel movements for more than 24 hours, call your vet. If her bm is not usual in texture or is mucousy, call your vet. It could be she's eaten something bad or has a blockage or other possibly bad things. I hope it's something simple and that she bounces back quickly. Best of luck to you and your furry friend!!

I really don't know about the eating and no bowel movements. That could be a result of constipation which you'll be able to tell if you watch her potty.

As for the dull and shedding coat, I would suggest changing her dog food. I changed my dog's food from Ole Roy (cheapest, but worst thing you can feed your dog) to Pedigree and her coat is gorgeous now. She stopped shedding as much and it's so shiny and the color has improved, too. So take her to the vet and take care of the digestive things right now, but I guarantee if you switch to better quality food, her coat will improve. And she'll fill up faster, too. But be sure you transition slowly!! Feed her half of the old stuff mixed in with half of the new stuff for about a week or you'll just run into more digestive problems.

But definitely go to the vet if she's not pooping!!!

At that age it could be many things. From being an owner of two very old dogs, I suggest a vet check them out right away. Maybe it's just stress but it could be worse. Check the color of her tongue and gums. If they are WAY lighter than normal, it could be an indication of internal bleeding and in that case get her to a vet right away. This was what happened to both my dogs.

what is the breed and age? more detail on the dog please. try adding a fish oil capsule to the dogs diet can help with the joints and the coat shiny. but more details of the dogs history but a trip to the vet is a good idea. there could be blockage if the dog ate like a hair tie or scrunchies or something of that nature.

certified vet tech here . first things first how old is your dog and when was its last exam . you have to think about that . how long has he been acting diffrently and not eating or drinking . if your dog has not eaten much he might be having a problem having a bowl movement because there is not enough in his stomach . lethargic is bad you need to take him to see his vet and i am sure they can get him back on his feet depending on what it is . for now try some warm soft dog food high in calories to keep him for becoming sicker

I'm agreeing with a blockage. She might also be having some nutritional or allergic issues. A vet would be the best bet.

My dog had a liver disease at one point and she was having a few of these troubles.

If an animal isn't eating, you should take them to the vet. There could be something seriously wrong with your dog. If you don't, he might die. Not eating is a sign of an animal dying. Make sure his has plenty of water.

possible blockage --could she have swallowed a toy or something? Take note of potty habits for a day and then take her to the vet with a stool sample if you can get one.

I would go get her a Parvo test and a Gardia(SP??) test as well. My older dog had the same signs and ... well we caught it too late he ended up having Parvo. Then again she may have something stuck.

Duh....the vet could tell you. Obviously the dog needs to be examined - sounds like this dog has a multitude of problems.
