Womannblak,
Let me ask you this question to answer yours. If you needed brain surgery would you use a dentist? No, you would find a professional that fills your need. If you desire to burn fat, you'll need a program that teaches your body how to do that, not some "wonder pill".
These "wonder pills" are manufactured without any regulation by the FDA and sold by heartless people that are interested only in making you lose money while they jog to the bank.
Tom Venuto, a professional bodybuilder of 23 years, has offered a diet that is tried and proved and teaches you how to manage your metabolism and burn fat safely and permanently.
Check my source and you will find this answer and many more concerning diets and gimmicks.

First off you want to lose weight slowly, the slower you lose the longer it stays off. Eat two bowls of cereal lose 6 lbs in two weeks, poppycock I say. What you lose is waste stored in your intestinal tract. If you want to lose weight fast for a dance or some other function go for it but the weight will return in a few days as soon as your body has adjusted to your new diet. For fast safe long lasting results change the way you eat. Don't snack while watching T.V. or playing video games. If you must snack try dried fruit such as raisins or fresh fruit in season. Drink water, lots of water and juice. Remember the body burns calories warming water to body temp so drink refrigerated water if you can. Make a point to drink a full glass before each meal, you will fill up faster and you will eat less. Eat slow, studies show this will fill you up faster. After you eat do something, walk, help clear the table, don't just head to the couch or your computer chair. Make chores an exercises, bend with the knees (deep knee bends) when picking something off the floor, stretch to put your plates in the cupboard and try putting one away at a time. Takes longer but your exorcising. Good Luck ...please don't be taken in by gimmicks.

Pills don't work; their claims, and even their contents, are not evaluated by the FDA, which means that any pill that take is probably nothing more than "chopped up Chinese newspapers and apple cores" (The Simpsons). Generally, food programs are alright, as long as you enjoy the food - avoid skipping meals, as you just train your body to survive on less energy. A better bet is to:
a) Up your protein intake. Protein is what tells our bodies that we are fed, it also keeps our metabolism running high, as our primal instincts tell the body that "hunting has been good lately." A protein shake in the morning and one in the evening will help keep you from feeling hungry. Tuna fish, turkey, chicken breast, and round steaks are good sources of protein, as well.
b) Cut down on your starches. Starches cause an insulin spike in your system, which slows its fat burning down. Avoiding things like pasta, popcorn, soda, potatoes, and the like will help you from feeling hungry again quickly and also keep that glut of insulin from making you feel sluggish.
c) Increase the number of times that you eat. Imagine keeping a fire going. You don't let the fire burn all the way down and then throw on giant logs, do you? You constantly feed the fire with smaller logs. Your metabolism is the same way. Six or seven smaller meals spread throughout the day are much more effective at keeping your metabolism chugging along than three big ones.

I wouldn't choose either. Right now I'm working on completely revamping my whole lifestyle- eating and excersize and activutes and all. I'm only goign ot eat when I'm honestly hungry. I'm goign to eat less prepackaged and more home-cooked. I'm going to cut back on preservatives, white refined carbs, sugars, sodium, the whole thing. And I'm going to exersize. It's not just about weight. It's about health.

Neither. Eat healthy, keep track of calories, exercise. There's no better way.
Let me recommend veganism or vegetarianism--it's a great way to lose weight and be healthier than ever.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you have to change your habits. That would mean using portion control when eating, moving around, whether you call it exercise or just activity, and making conscious choices about eating healthy food. I would never use a "lose weight fast" pill.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
