I don't mean to sound sexist, but women should not have "all" the rights of men. As a police officer I work with female officers. I cannot rely on them in a fight, because they are just not physically strong enough. There are also some male officers I don't trust to back me up. I also have to worry about keeping my partner safe. I would hate to have one hurt. There are other jobs they can do other than fight, just like in the military. Can you imagine having to carry a wounded or dead female off the battlefield. I know I don't want that job. Hope I made my point without sounding to chauvanistic.

1-Women have the same rights and privileges as men in the military. However, they are not allowed to hold jobs in the special forces.
2-Since there is no draft then you have nothing to worry about. But if there was a draft then yes men and women alike should be drafted.
3-Currently women are not required to register with selective service.
Women fought for equal rights and I agree that women should have equal rights. But, to say you want equal rights with conditions then whats the point?

There is no reason a female needs to sign up for the draft. If she would like to join the military then all she needs to do is go down to a recruiters office do the requirements and join. I joined when I was 18 and sis not need a draft. Besides having all the same rights in the military they do to an point. They can not do grunt jobs, but that has to do more with health reasons than anything else. Think of being on your period for 7 days and your stuck out in the middle of now where. Not very healthy if you can't clean your self. you can get some major infections. and the smell! Females have came along way from when they started letting them into the military till now.

I think you should say, IF she is elected...which I believe she could be, however, not in 2008. Women should have the same rights in the military, in my opinion. If they agree to the risks, dangers, and/or volunteer for the military she also should NOT receive special treatment. The draft is a very controversial issue. Should the draft be reinstated? I believe there is no right answer to that only opinions. Frankly, I believe more people should voulunteer rather than to have a draft.

Absolutely! They are GI's just like the men. Actually there still is a Selective Service and all MEN from the ages of 18-25 HAVE to register. There is NO draft but they do keep the names. Women do have all the rights and privilages of the men in the Branches. Tjhey have to comform to the UCMJ, Uniform Code of Military Justice as the men do!

Women have the same rights as men do. The draft should include females. There are some women out there that are more cut out for the military than some men. As for the draft, we shouldn't need it, if all Americans did at least one tour of duty. (in most cases 3 yrs)

Generally, they do. They get the same pay and all other benefits befitting their rank! The selective service, with authority of Congress will make the call about women registering with selective service. Chances are pretty good this will never happen, because the Us gets plenty of woman volunteers during war time. The US will never seek out women for combat duty, but there are plenty of support roles that need filling, and women in those roles frees up a male counterpart for other duties.
Hillary will never have a voice in this, she of all people, she who was rejected for active duty will also wash out as a candidate for presidency. We don't need a civil war, and she is the lightning rod that would ignite such a thing. The seething hatred for this women and the man she cohabitants with, is much greater than any of us realize. The country would fracture with another clinton in office.

Hell yes women should have to register for the draft, its the least we can do to get started on making up for 250 years of discrimination and injustice.

No. I think the current limitations on women in combat will be loosened somewhat, but there are a few combat areas that should be reserved for the guys, and the ladies should be grateful. But with those few exceptions, yes.
Note that this puts a permanent "glass ceiling" on top leadership. Unfortunate but unavoidable.

Okay, you asked, I'll tell my opinion. First, rights & privledges as far as "what?" I see nothing wrong with women joining, but personally I don't feel women should go out there and do battle. I feel this way for one reason only. God put something in men that isn't in women, and women would end up getting their heads blown off if they were out there doing "more" fighting. Second, I pray to God that Hilary Clinton isn't ever elected President. I would never vote for a person who fled the country when the Vietnam war was going on, and tried to become a citizen in Russia. Plus I am not gay, and she is all for the gay rights B.S. I don't "care" if a person is gay, I simply don't believe they should announce it to anyone who will listen! It goes against my moral beliefs. That's all. You asked, I told you.
