I think that is a pretty lame way to go about getting points. By the way, it should be people's not "peoples" as you put it. Grammatical errors are just as bad as spelling errors. As far as I'm concerned, if I can read it and understand it then I don't have a problem with it. Also, it's a lot, not "alot."

It's not ok to correct people's spelling on here, solely just for points. But whatever, it's your life.
I'm Texan. Pretty spiffy.

Sometimes its just a very anal thing to do by correcting people especially when you are dealing with english. I personally cannot spell to save my life. I use the dictionary to help spell words which is not always that sufficient. English is very difficult to spell, it has nothing to do with illiteracy, so give people a break.

I agree with Jimquk.. for the most part typos and misspellings don't bother me, but it would be nice if people would just hit the spell check just to make sure!

It is not only OK, but I feel it is your duty as a competent person to do so. Take pity on all of those poor, ignorant people and help them to see the error of their ways. ;-)

If you are so bored, why don't you try to teach Texan1 (the one in the White House) that the English language has no such word as "nucular"?

Typos I can excuse...but repeated grammatical errors when SpellCheck is readily available...
If you have to struggle to decipher what someone has written, it's NO fun!
