My skin gets these really dry patches (rashes) all over my body like 7-9 months a year and I don't know why. They itch and bump up, even when I only scratch a little bit. I have to apply lotion several times a day to try and soothe myself, but it doesn't really help much. I try to use unscented lotions and creams as well. This has been going on since I was 14 years old and now I'm 22. Can you give me some tips on how to at least increase the outbreaks by like 20 or 30 percent? I'd really appreciate this.

it sounds like eczema...although it could be psoriasis too. the unscented non-allergenic lotions are a good idea and other strong lotions such as Aveeno. often people who have these skin conditions get 'flare-ups' due to the weather and the changing seasons. go speak to your dr, he/she can write you a prescription for some stronger creams that may help reduce the redness,bumpiness and itchiness

Have you tried Eucerin? My daughter has very dry skin, and that's what the Dr. told me to put on her. {She's 5.}
