Take a lot of warm baths and drink lots of water. You may want to get a stool softerner to help soften the stool making it easier to pass. If a few days go by, you may need to get an oil retention enema followed by a cleansing enema. You can pick these up at your local pharmacy or dept store. The longer the stool is in your body, the harder it will get and the more difficult it will be to pass.
If this is a long going problem, you may want to be tested for hypothyroidism by a morning TSH, free T3, and free t4. It hypothyroidism the metabolism slows down and a sympto is constipation. In your case, it might be you just need more fiber in your diet and exercise.
Once you can go to the bathroom, try adding walnuts or almonds to your cereal each morning and this should help. Exercise can help as well. I found that taking 2 teaspoons of raw organic apple cider vinegar in water or ice tea before dinner can help to get you regular again too.

Because you said that even a drug doesn't work, there may be an occlusion in your b or nerves that control the processing of digested food into stool may not be functioning properly. Get a thourough check up on your GI starting with colonoscopy so that you know exactly where the problem is, and go from there.

I don't think you have a blockage because you sometimes have diarrhea and sometimes go a little. One thing that hasn't been mentioned here yet is that bathroom habits along with everything else about your body can be affected by stress. Have you been stressed lately? And are you dwelling on the stress of the bathroom change? I once thought I had a blockage and the dr told me to go home and eat! I realize now that I was stressed.

You need to go in for a colenoskippy. That will determine if anything is truly wrong. but until then as I just told someone else to do use epsin salt in warm water 1 or 2 tbs. full in a small amount of warm water to help dissolve, but then drink so cold to wash down the crappy taste. It will help for now but go to the doc and ask about the test.

Just eat one laxative. Most directions say to take two but then you will explode and it won't be pretty. Laxatives are harmful if you are using them as a diet aid and eating them like M & M's. You will be just fine eating one.

Pick up a small bottle of "Phillips Milk of Magnesia" and don't go anywhere for a day or two. If this keeps up see your doctor and tell him.
