I met this really sweet guy on the internet, and he's very understanding, considerate, mature,rich,intelligent, he dont smoke or drink at all; which is a bonus.
He seem like mr right, i can speak to him for hours and dont feel bored or tired. He make me smile everytime i am feeling down, and he always there if i ever needed a chat.
But he's not that good looking, on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give him a 5.5 but that does not include his personality.
I am not saying that i am perfect, no one is perfect; but i don't know if i should date him or not. I don't know what my family would think of him, since i'm the only child for my parents.
Please assist me with what ever advise you can, it would be of great help.

You can never really know who you're talking to.. its easier to lie on the internet then face to face... The best piece of advice I would give you is to talk to God.. I don't know if you're supposed to date him or anything, but God is the PERFECT matchmaker, He knows who you are supposed to be with...would you rather make a mistake and then have to be depressed again or get abused because you thought he was the perfect one.. I wouldn't personally, but if you just focus on God and trust him.. He will pull through for you..
He will bring you the guy of your dreams, just don't search anymore, the guy of your dreams will sweep you off your feet..and you will be so thankful for him.. Hope that helps!

Are you sure thats him? Everyone lies on the internet. Talking to someone may not even be safe. I'm guessing you haven't met him but maybe hes not who you think he is.. I would date him if he really is what hes made out to be. Looks arent everything and sometimes its better to date the not so good looking ones.

Go out with him - looks really aren't everything - in fact they aren't that important at all. And who gives a flying f**k about what your friends and family think - you would be dating the guy not them. You sound like you and him get on well on a personality level, being able to talk is a hige bonus - GO OUT WITH HIM!!!!

Just go with your heart, if looks are more important to you over personality then you are shallow. It's all down to what you value in a relationship. To be honest, personality should win over looks anyday. You obviously like his personality, just go with your heart and the way he looks should not be important to your parents, they'd just want to know he would treat you right.

I'd definately date a 5.5 if all the other stuff was right. As for what your family might think, if you're happy with this guy and he treats you right, they'll probably like him too.

When you are old enough you don't have to get your parent's approval of whether or not they think your bf is handsome. If he isn't handsome all the better.. they are the guys with the super personalities that to me become all that more handsome. Who wants a snob? It isn't what he looks like ..it is how he looks at you!

if you like him, then it doesnt matter what your family thinks, doesnt matter if he is handsome... u should follow your heart. this might be you last chance, maybe not. maybe this is your best chance. he probably likes you. if he does, why wouldnt you go and date him? if he is such a sweet guy, then u dont need anything better. so, if you like him, do it because he likes you back. always: SARAH

Well, I would say go out with him. If you really don't want to go out with him because of his looks, be cautious when you do this, and do it AFTER you ask him out, say to him you're in the mood to give a whole bunch of makeovers to your friends, and ask if he'd like to give him one!
