It's all really quite simple.
As far as the whole "sowing the seeds" of discord, as was alleged by one of the other responders to your inquiry, that's none of my concern.
I have personally never heard or seen this form of martial art; your inquiry was the first which I have heard of it.
Are there any resources wherein we can learn about this art, see it in action, or even -perhaps- take instruction somewhere here in the U.S.?
I'm intrigued, sir.
Please show us.

I respect ALL Martial Arts or fighting disciplines my friend, especially if I've heard of it.
and there's always been "racism" and discrimination towards other Martial arts, no matter what country or continent they come from or racial background.
I've never seen anything from the discipline your mentioning, but I gotta say that it's prob'ly a pretty effective discipline in it's own right.

why take this so personally? oriental martial arts are just better known, and, thus more popular. that doesn't automatically mean yemeni/middle eastern arts are viewed negatively, or not respected!

No disrespect to you, but frankly, I've never heard of it.
. . . . and to be completely honest, I think that Krav Maga, Tae Kwon Do, and Sambo are pieces of crap too. I don't disrespect middle eastern martial arts, I disrespect any martial art that doesn't teach one on one, man to man, hand to hand fighting skills from the first day the student walks into the studio.
I also think that fighting styles that have not been tested for several hundred years are suspicious at best.

People don't hear about middle-eastern martial arts as much. Also consider current world events... I think you'll have your answer.

Never heard of it. I'm confidant, however, that when I shoot in on you and start throwing the elbows, you'll be a convert.
