I have been using this line for years, since I was 7. Out of approx. 400 people I've told it to, about 3 got it. Do you get it?

Get it?

A friend of mine, a bloke aged 63, likes riding a push bike for exercise, but as he doesn't like turning right he has been doing exactly what you say for months!

Do you mean "Two wrongs don't make a right, and three rights make a left"? It's simple really. Taking 3 rights will have you driving/walking/moving in the same direction if you had taken a left from your original position.

And yes, I do get it. Worth a giggle or two. Brings on a lot of those "Oooooh! Now I get it!" moments.

The problem you have, hombre, is that you know 397 incredibly stupid people. Take those 3 individuals that get it out for drinks, preferably at a singles bar with a low cover. Then build a spaceship using your super-genius powers and fly away from this planet comprised of 99.25% ignorant blowhards. Take three lefts at the sun and head towards Uranus.

Three lefts, still don't make a right. A right is something you have in a free society. You have a right to be wrong!

The thing is, does it work in 3 dimensions? So now you are 4 for 401 (which is often more than 4).

You are talking about two completely different things. In the first part, you are talking about right and wrong. In the second part, you are talking about the directions of right and left.

I get it. Screwing up twice doesn't make it ok, but going left three times gets you going to the right of where you originally started.

3 lefts make a right as long as you don't do them wrong!
