That is...without guns and without fireworks.... Our next door neighbor has spread some lies around our street about our family and we really want to make some noise on that side of our house. I know that sounds bad but time to get even sometimes! Maybe you have some other crazy idea you'd like to share. (We don't live within the city limits, so that is kind of a good thing as far as laws and rules go.)

You just admitted that your neighbor is right for having the wrong/negative image of you.
If you want them to accept you, or at least leave you alone, you should show them that you are not the "bad" people on the street or the troublemakers of the neighborhood.
Give them good images of you and your family and you will get a good reputation from them and others. Don't ever try to get even by retaliating with noise or trouble...that only shows them that they are right to think bad things about you...you're too smart to let that happen, aren't you?

How do you know your neighbor won't be at a party somewhere? just a thought. the only noise I'll be making is snoring and as my hubby points out, waking me is like trying to wake the dead so the noise outside won't bother me at all.

Honk your car horn till the battery dies. Beat on a garbage can like a drum, hammer and nail on some wood, go outside and play a musical instrument. Use your imagination I could go on all day about ways to torment neighbors legally.....Unfortunately I'm like you I have a neighbor like that. You just got to be crafty and stealthy...lol

Yell, blow a whistle, hoot, holler, bang on something, clap, stomp, cheer, blow you horn, or whatever makes you happy, but if your just doing it to spite you neighbor sorry to say but two wrongs have never made a right. I hope you don't decide to start a New Year off by lowering yourself to someone elses level.
