The actual word translated in English actually say "feed-strengthens" which translates to "food strengthens" or "to feed strengthens". Additionally, it is also spoken to mean an ingredient used to strengthen food (broths, etc.). Spelled with a capital S, it can mean flour or starch (food strengthener).
