Since I am a nice guy, I don't have a wife or a girlfriend or anything like that. But if I did, I wouldn't mind it too much if she thought that something I was wearing didn't match up. Of course, this is providing that she was nice about pointing it out, and I didn't think she was making fun of me or anything.
Of course, you said that he has no problem telling you when you are wearing something he doesn't like. So, personally, I would just point it out to him in the same way that he points it out to you.

Are you serious?
There is nothing wrong with wearing brown boots and black jeans. Don't be so old fashioned.
If you want to pick a fight with him, then suggest he spend some money and buy some real clothes. Some nicer pants, and maybe proper shoes. Maybe a shirt that isn't plaid. :p

My wife (of 31 years) and I are very open with one another. She is always there to support me and help me when I am needing it. I attempt to do the same. She is the most precious thing on this earth in my eyes and I would do nothing to harm her. I hope that your relationship is the same. Spend some time talking with him privately about how you were taught to match up your clothing. Many men were never taught to do so. I believe that the man is the head of the household BUT the husband is told to love his wife as himself. GOD certainly directed the correc ones to write our BIBLE! Have a great Lord's Day.

Depends upon how you put it....I would appreciate my significant other telling me that I just don't look right if I don't. As long as she's not laughing and pointing and belittling me while doing it, though that can sometimes be funny as well. Tell him what you just wrote, that you were brought up not matching brown shoes and black pants and that it just looks odd to you. If he listens, then he listens, just do it lovingly if he can't take it. Tell him you just want him to look as good to everyone else as he does to you.

he has a factor. those days, matching each thing is probably no longer the comprehensive concept anymore. test! yet i additionally do no longer think of it quite is a no-no to verify eyeshadow alongside with your outfit, for the reason which you could continually spoil out with accessorizing.

some men are comfortable in clothes they pick out because most men go for comfort more than style, but if what i wore bothered my wife enough for her to tell me, then i would gladly accept her opinions, because i know that she wouldnt want me to look rediculous, because face it some of us men get an F when it comes to matching clothes.

if it really bugs ya tell him. u could be sneaky and wear brown with black urself then say "oops! almost forgot, black never goes with brown!" or u could tell him outright like i think u should be close enough to ur hubby that he wont be insulted. as long as u dont do it constantly once or twice is fine. ♥

I am of the belief that brown shoes go with everything, if that helps - so in this case, I say YOU should let go of your out-of-date standards about that.
Overall, however, I would welcome criticism about what I'm wearing if it would result in me looking better.

All married men should feel lucky that they have a wife who can feel free to advise them about their dressing. No one else will.
