New Zealand, Japan and the Pacific Islands to the West of the International Date Line.
However, and this will rattle cages, it is not officially new year until midnight on the Greenwich Meridian so the first place to see the real New Year is actual UK and Europe!!
But as it is 4am on the 1st in Malaysia when I write this I personally have to say the official can take a flying jump in this occasion.
