You answered your own question: because your babysitter bailed. It was nice of you to volunteer to watch other people's children, though. lucky you. I spent new year on my own, my children who are in their late 30s early 40s were to busy out having fun to even find the time to phone, in fact they still haven't on the 4th. you have many new years to enjoy yet, hang on and you will have some beauts........................

charge all the other parents triple money for doing this ,use that to buy yourself lots of drink and a take away HAPPY NEW YEAR
