Any Merlot or Cabernet Sauvinagn from California, or any wine bottled by Corbett Canyon or Gossimer Bay. There are too many to list but in general start there. Examine the label for the area and year of the wine to help you decide. There are many excellent small wineries in California and I have picked up many inexpensive (and great tasting) wines that way.

The best think you can do is visit a wine shop or a good grocery with an experienced wine steward. What I love for under bucks, you may hate. Do you prefer reds over whites, dry vs sweet, fruity, full bodied, sparkling? These are questions a good wine person should ask. Depending on your style preference they should be able to steer you plenty of good wines unter 20 dollars.

I drink red wine only - so if you like red wine you might like the Greg Norman Estates Wines - there is a great 2002 Shiraz.

Another brand that is decent and very affordable is Rosemont Estates Shiraz

My number one fave is Martini & Rossi Asti. It has a nice sweet bubbley taste. Costs between 12-25 dollard depending on the size of the bottle.

Jacob's Creek Shiraz is excellent. I hate wine but I love that one. It's only $7 everywhere I've looked.
