Now i'm not talking about a known (recognized religon) version of these places, and no i'm not gonna get all cheesy and say this world is what you make it.
But really, from my casual perspectives, people "talk" about hell much more than heaven, off the top of my head i can think of many examples of hell and few of heaven.
One of the more interesting definitions of hell i remember is one where the punishment fits the crime (s) of a person's life.
So, every "sinner" gets their own personal hell, by this and applying simple ying and yang, don't you think people could get their own personal heaven?
(However would this be a negative re-enforcement strategy?)

Heaven and Hell could be metaphors…
Heaven the best possible conditions, as I’m in 7th Heaven. This ice cream tastes like Heaven. Some also call the skies the Heavens.
Hell the worst possible condition as in War is Hell
According to The Bible Satan is not in Hell but currently in Heaven, his hell is future… But I guess some missed that.
“Satan is not in hell, the place created especially for him and his angels and he will certainly be cast into the lake of fire, but he is now heaven where he has access to God's presence and accuses the saints before Him, day and night”. His rejection from heaven, described in Revelation, is yet future.”

I used to believe that humans can get into heaven, but I don't think that is possible until the Second Coming, or the Judgement of Man. The deceased remain in a sort of dormant sleep wherever they are buried or remain, until the time of His visitation. You see, I do not think that humans actually ever enter heaven; after the Earth is "renewed and rebuilt" as it is said in The Book of Revelation, a vast city that was built in heaven is placed on Earth for all the good people to dwell in for eternity. That city is called the New Jerusalem. Now of course, this is based on a Christian aspect and opinion. For non-believers, I would say that people can hope to get their own personal little heaven, but it's not a guarantee. Each person has their own vision of what "heaven" is, and there is bound to be some conflict between the differing views and opinions. In the end, I guess, it really doesn't matter what we visualize heaven as or what we think heaven will be like, because the truth is all that really matters in the end.

i guess so looking at it from your perspective that a person gets his own heaven or hell due to his actions is some what true! but as you said hell is thought of much more cause the human sinners are much more in number

Satan wants people to focus on the negative. He wants to get peoples focus off of God. Do not fall for his trap. Satan is like a trapper He sets his traps where he knows you will go. He tempts you in with a sin that you desire and once you go after it, slam then you suffer from the taking of the sin.

Heaven & Hell were created to instill fear into the followers. To make them fear doing something wrong, hence going to hell.
When you die, you cease to exist. Done, Finished, Kaput, Over.
Besides, if god is all forgiving, why would there be a Hell???

No racism, sexism, homophobia, discrimination, hate, etc. in simple terms peace and love! Aha. in line with possibility in my heaven, Hogwarts and Harry Potter could be actual... My hell could be crammed with the main concepts-blowing opposite i think. properly, the present worldwide is already style of like my own hell. yet my mattress room in hell could incredibly be crammed with those creepy finding dolls from the Victorian era. And the view from my room could be of a graveyard... frightening concepts... This replaced into an thrilling question!

I've always believed that to be true. Heaven is what you hope most for. It reinforces your need to be good, because being 'good' gets you the reward of your heaven.

it make very good sence but i don't think so... I don't really believe in either one I think either spirts that have unfinished buisness roam the earth or people who didn't have good souls do too... but everyone else has an afterlife.... thats what i believe
