This Bill is being supported by Senator Johm Cornyn a Republican from Texas. If you do not support this bill what will you do if it passes, giving thousands of illegal aliens amnesty and most of the rest of the high tech jobs?

i received a letter from senator John Ensign, H-1B and I quote in part "...During the economically prosperous 1990s our nation enjoyed its longest period of economic expansion. Low unemployment rate fueled a drive to increase the levels of employment based immigration...In 2004, the H-1B annual numerical limits reverted to 65,000 and that limit was reached on the first day, applications were accepted. Several proposals have been introduced in the 109th Congress TO INCREASE THE CAPS including S2691, The SECURING KNOWLEDGE, INFORMATION AND LEADERSHIP ACT OF 2006. this legislation was introduced by Senator John Cornwyn R-TX and has been referred to the Judiciary Committee, on which I do not serve. should any legislation come before the full Senate, you may be certain I will keep your views in mind!

I dont think it will increase the number of illegal aliens(they can do that all by themselves) but I think what he was trying to say with that law is thhat the state of Texas is the only state in the US to actually benefit from Mexican workers, through the tax structure of that state, they actually bring in more taxable revenue than services offer in that state outweighing the cost of illegals, but They are the only ones because the border areas are pretty much desolate,Hes never been to L.A. and doesnt see the economic strain as a whole but only by his state of Texas...No I wont support it in the least

Your question misrepresents the content of the bill and it's need to change immigration policy.
I was angered by some of the links too. It is so dangerous to combine patriotism with xenophobia. This is an issue of social equality not cultural differences.

there is a bill to increase the number of illegal Aliens? lol you question makes no sense.

It is likely that the bill attempts to regularize the legal situation of undocumented aliens in the United States.

I'm not sure that any bill would call for an increase in illegal aliens. Perhaps you may need to re read the proposed bill.We already have far too many illegal aliens in this nation. What we need is enforcement of our immigration laws already on the books .
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty.. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

A lot of illegal aliens do work you wouldn't do. They are actually GOOD for the economy. Why shouldn't they get a chance to immigrate here. If we send them all back to Mexico then should we send you back to Europe?

Anything that will bring more Mexicans into the U.S. or give them more rights and privileges in the U.S., sounds good to me.
