Ola!! Como vas? garcias por elegirme ser tu nuevo amiguito también! ¡No soy muy bueno con la lengua española, sino intentaré!! Oh...¡Feliz Año Nuevo!! haha :). ¡Espero que usted tenga un buen día! ¡Besos también! te me cuidas.

(at my school I'm in a cultural class and we are being paired with foreign exchange students, and mine is from Colombia. Its pretty cool, but the thing is we have to write letters to each other; I have to write ones to him in Spanish and he has to write to me in English. Yea...I not so great at Spanish, so I need some help here! Thanks so much!)

Your spanish is very good, but i made a few corrections, although I dont know how to do accents on the computer so keep yours the same.

Hola!! Como esta ud? Gracias por escojerme ser tu amiguito nuevo tambien. No soy muy bueno en la lengua espanol sino intentare!! Ay….feliz ano Nuevo! Haha. Espero que ud. tenga un buen dia. Besos tambien! Cuidese Ud. (there should be an accent on "cuidese" over the i)

Since you are talking to a friend use the word “tu” instead of “usted”. “Usted” form is too formal. Also, since you are a girl DO NOT use the masculine words to describe you.

So here is the correction (the ones in ALL CAPS):

¡HOLA! ¿Como TE va? ¡GRACIAS por elegirme ser tu NUEVA AMIGUITA (or just amiga)! ¡No soy muy BUENA con la lengua española, PERO (but) LO intentare! ¡Espero que (TU) tengas un buen día! Te cuidas.

You can use the word “Tu” if you want.
Using “LO” sounds better in Spanish.
Again, since you are a GIRL, don’t use words like amigo, pequeño, or hermoso because they are in masculine form. Instead, use the feminine form words such as amiga, pequeña, or hermosa.

Hey, your Spanish is pretty OK. A few mistakes, I'll let a native speaker correct those, but at least you're communicating, that's the main thing, and if you just keep on like that your language will come on fine!!!
