'If your brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife tries to secretly entice you, telling you to go and worship other gods, gods of people living near you, or far from you, or anywhere on earth, do not listen to him. 'You must kill them. Show them no pity. And your hand must strike the first blow.'

'If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not listen to the voice of his father......or his mother......even when they punish him......his father and mother must take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town.'They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard. All the men of the town must then stone him to death. You must banish this evil from among you.'

'If two men are fighting...'...and the wife of one man rescues her husband from his assailant by grabbing his testicles...'...you must cut off her hand. Show her no pity.'

I know, people tha condmen gays quote the bible. But they forget about the other rules Leviticus has, like if a woma is menstruating she is impure and if any man touches her he is impure too. We shouln't eat animals with hooves because they're impure.

Leviticus 2
3:5 And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD

Leviticus 11
11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you

11:10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the water; they shall be an abomination to you

11:23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

Many christians choose to ignore these verses.

Not if you want to remain out of jail in any western democracy!

Literal belief in a book like this is nothing short of psychopathic insanity!

your job as a true Christian is to always put God first. We are not told to take these situations into our own hands but rather pray that God, who is always right and merciful, would take these situations into HIS hands. We trust and depend on God to guide us and it is our job, first..not to judge and second...to pray without ceasing that HIS DIVINE WILL be done above all else. As God loves us all without respect of persons, He will handle everything and guide you in each step as it comes.

those parts you listed are parts of the old covenant of death, the covenant made with Israel.

that covenant is no longer in effect once one has come to the knowledge of the new covenant, which is- that Christ died for your sins- therefore since Christ died for our sins, we don't die for them. So therefore, no, we do not follow those things you stated.
