Where I live there isnt a community team. And no one wants to play it! It's all about basketball or other sports! Is there anything I could do to make it a little bit more popular?

I mean there is a school team, but no community team. And we only have four games in the entire season! Could it be because I live "out yonder"?

Just because it's in the Olympics does't make it popular! It just seems no one cares about it!

bc it is not one of the easest sports and boys only play it in the olympics

It is a possible sport!!!! maybe you just dont live in a town where volleyball is popular...but i know in some towns, like where i live in, volleyball is the most popular sport and there are more than 5 community teams

Well not everything is popular everywhere like certain foods may be popular in one place bcause the culture likes it. Everything has to fit into the culture. You could just try to get a volleyball team where ou are, ask around for volunteers

volleyball is gaining in popularity every year. the avp and Olympic beach games are helping.i played in the 99 us open and it blew my mind how big it was.if you live in an area that has a good club program the game is more popular community wide.the girls team i coach has grown alot since 94 when we started.p.s in the last summer Olympics beach volleyball was the most popular spectator sport.

Thats tricky. Where I live, Volleyball is HUGE! Talk to all the girls in your school and form up a team, and play surrounding schools! Just make it your own team! Have an adult take care of political things though.....

well, where im from, volleyball isnt a word we hear often. there are 3 teams that not many people can play on.therea pricate schoolz team, the middle school team and the h.s team. bring it up to the townboard or make a petition!

try getting it involved in the ymca, if there arent any school teams, usually it starts off with school teams and then clubs evolve to compete with the other highschools and then college playing comes into play, check with your states volleyball go to usavolleyball.org i think it is check your state and they list the names of club facilities to play maybe theres something.. mines about a 45 minute drive away or get friends involved and play around

well in southrn cali itz very popular. so i dont know itz hard to find a guys team. do u play on ur school team? if u dont y not? if u want to really play, ur probably gonna have to travel to a beach city or more inland. i play indoor and outdoor.

i think because it take so many to play the game: 12..its hard to coordinate 12 people on a regular basis. trust me. it is aggravating. most people want to play but can't due to scheduling. then they don't show up at practice. wish you lived near me...good luck.
put it in the community bulletin in your local paper.
you will get all kinds of people interested. even if they haven't played in years..they will get better. you will have some fun.

start your own team or hand out flyer's and hire a ref. you can do it in the back yard,or at a beach if you live near one or at the rec. center. or just play with your friend and invite them over to play then they would invite their friend and they would invite their friend ect. then before you know it you will have Moe then 3 teams to play against.
