Do not use a straightener when your hair is wet. It causes split ends and causes your hair to break. You can do it if it's almost dry, just make sure you put some kind of heat protectant on your hair.

A typical hair straightener is not meant to be used on wet or damp hair. It can damage your hair and your straightener. However, there are a few straighteners available in most retail stores, such as Wal-Mart and Rite Aid, that are designed for used on wet hair. I have the Remington Wet to Straight but it takes just as long to blow dry and straighten my hair as it does to use this on my hair when it's damp.

I have a revlon wet to straight hair straightener and it works great. I use it right when I get out of the shower. Just comb and then straighten. Its easier then drying and less time too.

There are some you can use when your hair is wet. But you do it when your hair is dry. I think there is a Conair hair designer and you can use it when your hair is wet. But electricity + wet is not good. So straighten it when its dry

always use it when your hair is completely or mostly dry otherwise you'll damage your hair and it won't be as effective (unless you have one of those wet/dry straighteners)

No. Your hair has to be totally and completely dry. Otherwise it won't work. Moisture is straightened hair's worst enemy, because it causes it to frizz and go curly again.
