army life.......
1Spending 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year training for something that there is a 99.9% chance that we will never do.

2 WWWDWOA? (what would we do without acronyms?)

3 Taking simple daily tasks and breaking them down into nuclear physics before doing them.

4 Having to attend a brief prior to carrying out any task more complicated than picking my nose. Oh and don't miss that briefing to brief the upcoming briefing.

5 Being an adult and having somebody inspecting me everyday to make sure I put my clothes on properly, and put my shoes on the right feet

6 I love cleaning the same places over and over and over until either the paint comes off or my hands are bleeding

7 Can we be tested to make sure we are physically-fit every year only please make exceptions to this for enormously fat 30+ year old Senior NCO.

8 Why did our parents even bother giving us first names?

9 Having to wear a "cover" or hat, every time I want to go outside

Don't forget the uncontrollable urge to stand in a line, any line will do as long as you're in it. Or the great food, or the fact that no matter the climate, you won't have the right clothes to be comfortable, or the need to spend your entire paycheck in one drunken night and by doing this, you are one of the normal ones. The list goes on and on. We do it cause we are too stubborn to do anything else. Plus occasionally we get to witness something being blown up. Priceless.

Happy New Year from Iraq!

lengthy question. short answer: you do not you had your chance. Too previous due now. One, faulty get entry to technique you've been below no circumstances qualified to enlist contained interior the first difficulty yet managed to get previous the preliminary screening technique. 2, psare not approved to get waivers at modern-day. RE3s opt for a waiver. 3: regardless of the straightforward undeniable truth that pswere allowed to request a waiver, your sep code does in no way get one.

LMAO....funny...might add one about classes to be certified on everything and being certified multiple times. My husband with a secondary MOS of a medic has been CLS certified about 10 times within the last year and a half.

And if I want to keep children in my home, I must also be certified in diaper changing and nutrition. Like a college degree and mom of 2 isnt enough experience. Now, pregnant moms must be certified in PREGNANCY. Aint that the army way? Certified in pregnancy. Lord I have heard it all.

There is something to the military life. Sure, some of it seems worthless to those not in the military, and even to us in the military, but, we are instilled with discipline, honor and integrity. Its a different lifestyle that seems better to me than some of the civilian jobs that i have had before i enlisted.

Some people like the military life, it gives you a sense of accomplishment and pride along w/ great benefits. And after you add in the cost of living allowance, BAH, and BAS along w/ your base pay and any other pays you are qualified for; the pay isnt bad either.

My man's in Iraq, and that totally brightened up my day. He, like many others, stays in because he just can't hold down a civilian job. I guess they're just wired differently. Thanks, and happy new year :)
