I ended up becoming ill during Christmas so my choc chip cookie dough has been refrigerated for about 10 days. I hate to through it out and usually freeze it, but this time I put it in a large Ziplock bag. Is it still good? Help!!!!

Getting back to you all re: cookie dough. It did have egg in it and smelled "off" so I pitched it.

If there is no egg in the batter it is fine.
If there IS egg, but it has been refrigerated the entire time, it is probably ok, but DO smell it first. Your nose will tell you if it is certainly bad. Once baked, the cookies should be fine!

Hey! I got sick on Christmas, too! Anyways, that's beside the point. It depends on what kind of cookie dough it is. If it is homemade, it usually lasts, for say, a week. Store bought can last up to 2 weeks, like Pilsbury.

You mustn't put cookies in the fridge! The cookies are good when they are warm. You mustn't put cookies in the fridge more than 2 days. You must try to eat the cookies in 2 days, because they will be worse.

smell it, it has been in fridge all that time it should be ok. Usually you have about 3 weeks or so on those tubes.

probably not a good idea to eat it if it has eggs in it. Toss it, and make some new ones.

look at the useby date that should give you some idea. but my generall rule of thumb is if it smells ok and looks ok just make sure you cook it right and if it tastes ok it should be fine
