one day i noticed a little dry patch of skin on the palm of my hand. now it seems to be growing into a callus like thing and it itches a bit and when i scratch it, its kinda sore. i noticed that it seems to be spreading there are 3 on one hand and another is growing on the other. it also seems only to be the creases of my palms. i plan on seeing a dermatologist but that will have to wait, seeing that its new year eve and all...can anyone help?

It could be eczema but doesn't sound too serious

Sounds like psoriasis to me- it's red and sort of bumpy looking, right? What you need to do is go and get some over-the-counter hydrocortizone cream (one of the brand names is called Cortaid), and be really diligent about applying it often, like every time you wash your hands. Also, it will heal faster if you put some gauze or a Band-Aid over it every time you re-apply the cream, because it needs to be kept clean and dry. It should go away in a couple of days. If not, it could be something a little more serious, like eczema, and if it stays bad, you should go see a doctor, but a dermatologist won't be necessary. Your general practicioner should be able to diagnose and treat something so minor.

hmm, see a dermatologist, or maybe even a regular dr. can tell you whats up... now you said it is on a callos? try rubbing a pummis stone on it then using the lotion... or rub olive oil on it every night, any oil with vitamin e for that matter
