Photosynthesis provides life and nutrition to plants here on our planet. Without plants, we have no oxygen and nobody would be able to live. So, photosynthesis gives life to plants which helps give life to us. Happy New Year!!!

Why Is Photosynthesis Important

2016-09-28 12:25:33 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

It is important because it gives plants energy and we eat plants to get energy along with other animals the we may eat to. with out this life on earth would stop forever. Plants and other organisms are producers which means they make energy and humans along with other organisms need this energy because we are consumers which means we need energy from other organisms. Plant photosynthesis may produce some oxygen but the main oxygen producers are phytoplankton that live in the ocean they uses a type of photosynthesis.Oxygen is made mostly by these animals and not plants although plants do contribute some oxygen.

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight into energy they can grow on. Plants breath in the carbon dioxide and release clean air. Therefor, they clean the air. This makes them important for life on earth.

Basically because without it, there would be no life. Plants get their energy directly from the sun, in the process of photosynthesis. Higher life forms then eat the plants to get the energy (or they eat other animals that eat said plants). Without the process of photosynthesis, the light of the sun could not be used to create energy, and life as we know may not exist, or if it did, it would be entirely different from what does currently exist.

Photosynthesis is the process that plant cells go through in order to convert sunlight and c02 into oxygen. It is important to life on Earth because we all breathe in this oxygen.

Photosynthesis provides the plant with glucose to sustain itself. This glucose is stored in high quantities in parts of certain plants (the sugar beet, for example, stores this glucose in the root). We extract this glucose to make sugar and molasses, which in turn sustains a large industry. It also provides oxygen for the air, created when sunlight splits water molecules. It takes in the carbon dioxide we exhale, and uses it in photosynthesis so we don't have a buildup in the atmosphere. It does not really clean the air in any way, it just rearranges the molecules to create useful byproducts. In addition, scientists believe that it was photosynthesis that created our current atmosphere of 21% oxygen, making life on Earth possible. The glucose and oxygen from plants make aerobic respiration, the process by which we make usable energy from glucose and oxygen, possible, thus sustaining us in this world of ours.

photosynthesis is the process that plants convert sunlight to sugar, which the use for food. Plants provide food for many animals at the bottom of the food chain so the survival of many species depends on their survival. Additionally, the waste product of photosynthesis is oxygen, which is a gas essential for respiration and life in animals...most imporantly humans.

Photosynthesis is the process in which plants use sunlight as an energy source to convert carbon dioxide and water into a simple sugar known as glucose. A by-product of this process is oxygen, which is essential to basically every living organism on earth. Also, with this ability to make its own food it is our primary food source, upon which primary and secondary consumers depend. And of course considering that we exist because of plants, they are also our major source of raw materials, used in textiles and in the making of medicines.

It is the process by which plants convert nutrients into food and separate the oxygen out of carbon dioxide. Without photosynthesis there would be no plant source of food and there would be less breathable air.
