am 15 and i started training about 3 months ago. I eat lots of things like powerbars andClif bars for my breakfast and luch, and i cut out fatty things like soda and chips. i do 3x50 pushups, and 100 sit ups every day, I also work out at a gym that is really close to my house. then at night i work out for like 1.5 hr w/ my punching bag(80lb).

The best thing to do is find a good trainer in you area. When your starting out you should work out about 90 minutes and eventually build up to 2 hours ( 3 times a week). That includes start off with (break this down into 5/ 3 minute rounds, with a minute rest in between)15 minutes shadow boxing, 15 minutes on the heavy bag, 15 minutes on the speed ball, 15 minutes skipping. 30 minutes going through the puches with a trainer. Road work for 30 minutes (run for 20 minutes then do 50push ups 100 sit ups. There is no need to train harder than this unless you turn professional. Eat foods low in fat, 150 grams of protein a day.

I have been boxing three years and here is the basic workout that is done at the boxing gym I go to. This is a good start. later if you were training for a fight it would be a little different.
Monday- 2 hours, Jump Rope, Shadow boxing, heavy bag, focus mitts with a partner. (on that order)
Tues- Run 2-4 miles
Wed- 2 hours, Jump Rope, Shadow boxing, heavy bag, focus mitts with a partner.
Thur-Run 2-4 miles
Fri- 2 hours, Jump Rope, Shadow boxing, heavy bag, focus mitts with a partner.
Sat- Running drills.
My boxing coach says weight training isn't good to do with this workout because all the cardio in the boxing workout breaks down any muscle that you would build with weight training.

How hungry are you? Don't expect nothing but sure indurance and raw will, speed. Defy against odds.learn how to breed and focus on that power you give. Watch a the cats defense and jabs. Train your neck muscles. Anger and worry forgets to breath. Getting mad mentally (breathing right)is different it forgets the pain. Chop wood and run up hills as a start. Spaghetti and anything with sugar during training is good. Organic food is even better. Forget these these energy drinks they advertise they're steroids. Fake. Water instead a lot of water. You won't regret this advice.

There is a lot of good advice from some of the people on this site you did not say what your goals in boxing are when I talk to young kids about there boxing future always ask them do they want to be a winner or do they want to be a champion ask your self these question first then go to a local gym and tell the trainer what it is you want to become all trainers get real excited when we hear someone who wants to be a champion be cause it takes a lot of time to train a champion and no one wants to wast there time on some one who is going to run the first time they get clocked your at a good age to start boxing good luck
