Im trying to learn more about my brothers death without asking my father. we lived in different states so i didnt know him very well or know much about him. But i would like to

Most libraries can provide internet access to newspaper in other cities - check with the Reference Section.

If you know the date, and place of death, you can order a death certificate, which will list the cause of death.
As to old news articles, the same applies. If you know where, you can do a net search on the local papers, and write, or call to find out if the article ran in that paper, and order a copy.
Some local libraries keep the paper of microfilm, and might do a search for you. (possible for a small fee.) Or you might be able to get the microfilm on an inter-library loan.
If you do not know the date of death, try going to one of the free genealogy sites, and doing a social security death index search. It will tell you when, and where he died.

Try the local or state library where your brother died or call you can call the local newspaper company in that area and see if they have it... But the state/local library should definitely have it

may help. It is written for people in the USA. I'm pretty sure the query boards only go down to the county level in the USA and the UK. Australians are out of luck.
