I've a formal diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome, if that's any use to you. I'm also well read in the subject, which shouldn't be too surprising.

You can e-mail me via my profile.

I would contact your local developmental disabilities programs. There are group homes and day activity centers with autistic individuals there. Perhaps you can get them to give you authorization to interview the staff as well as individuals with autism.

You might want to contact your local elementary/high schools and ask if they have any autistic children. Then ask if they could give your information to the parents and have them contact you. As the school cannot give you their information outright without their permission.

There also may be chat rooms you can access or even start one of your own to find people that you can interview online.

Good luck.
