That is what Christianity was about until the 4th century when it became about coercion and control.

Nope, never heard of it before, but the fact that it gives "information about an alternative strand of Christianity" should be a clue to it's falsity. Even if it were written during the time period around Mary's life, it is very suspicious that it was unknown before it's discovery in 1896. You can be rest assured that the Holy Spirit guided the Church correctly in determining the Cannon of the New Testament.

Yep I've heard of it and the Dead Sea Scrolls. It's amazing what was left out of the Bible. We should all be aware that the Romans had altered the Bible all those years ago and used it to mold the society they wanted (obviouslly they didn't like women or gays that much lol).
There was also something left out of the Old Testament, it's the story of Lillith. It was originally a Jewish story, Lillth was Adam's first wife. She wanted the equality in the marraige and it literally drove her crazy that he didn't consider her the same as him and she turned into a demon. Now the story od Adam and Eve are obviouslly completely different. Eve was made from Adam and therefore beneath him.
See what I mean now? And people still follow this book like it's a rule book for life. That's like someone 2000 years from now reading Lord of the Rings and thinking it really happened.

Its a fraud her name was used to deceive people and it was written 600 years after she died the author was not her nor did he know her not like the true gospels.
The gnostic gospels didn't pass this test
Were written or penned for those that actually new Jesus and within 60 -75 years of Christ death.
Were widely accepted as being valid
Agreed with other accepted scriptures
Unlike the four Gospels, the Gnostic gospels can be actually degrading to women. The Gospel of Thomas declares that a woman cannot be saved unless God first changes her into a man (the very last verse of Thomas, 114).
Stick with the Bible and if you want additional information read the Apocrypha and other historical records.

It is one of the Gnostic Gospels. One needs to study the Gnostics and who they were, they are mentioned in the Scriptures. Happy New Year

Mary Magdalene NEVER wrote a gospel. There are only four gospels, and the were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Yes I have heard it; but I have not read it. I found the answers to my spiritual questions elsewhere.
