Is there a dust collection system or 'dust collection skirt' for the PERIMETER of a random orbital sander? Note: in place of the usual dust bag, I already use a shop vac vacuum cleaner which sucks up dust through the holes in the sanding pad. The vacuum attachment I am looking for for the PERIMETER of the sanding pad is to capture the dust that escapes the PERIMETER area which makes it impossible to sand in a truly dust free manner. Thanks, Sandt

There is a line of tools out now called FESTOOL. They provide an almost complete dust free environment. A bit on the pricey side. But some of the best out there. You can search the tool name or there's an outfit called WOODCRAFT that carries them. Someone also makes a sanding table. It is a box, basicly, that has holes in it and the dust falls into it and the vaccuum sucks it out of there. Don't know if they work or not though. Good Luck.

Yes there are dust shrouds that are made for this. I have seen them range in size I use them for my 8 in angle grinder when I grind concrete.
