9.00 on a school night. That's what I tell the kids in my class anyway.

That would depend on what time he/she has to get up in the morning. At that age, 9-10 hours of sleep is the best. My daughters are 8 and 12. The 8 year old goes to bed at 9PM and the 12 year old at 10:00. There is no bedtime on weekends!

At 11 years old, I would suggest 8:30 pm. As the child gets older, the bed time hour can be increased. But even in highschool, a time frame should be established that requires that the "student" get at least 8 hours of solid rest.

9:00 -9:30. I would say start getting ready for bed at 9. Wash face, brush teeth ext. In bed by 9:15 read a book or something. lights out by 9:30, I think on the weekends you can set it back an hour. 10:00-10:30. Good luck!

I'd say make it a solid 9:00 assure they go to bed at this time too. A good routine is very necessary as is consistency with this routine. I am not a fan of this later at weekends idea as it takes a part away from the routine and sometimes this may slip into problems with your child going to bed at 9:00 during the week.
If it was me who would be deciding this I'd opt for 9 every night.

on school nights it's shower by 7:30 and in bed by 8 but he doesn't really fall asleep until like 8:30-9. He's up by 6 and school starts at 7:30. Weekends (friday and sat) he gets until 9 -10 unless he has a sleepover then we let him stay up as late as he wants (these are rare occasions so we indulge him).

I think 9 is an appropriate time. Weekends or non-school can be extended to 10. At least, that's what I plan on for my own kids.

on school nights my son goes to bed at 9 pm on weekends 10.
Kids that age need 8 to 10 hrs of sleep per night. And they also need a consistent schedule.
My son will be 11 next month.

My 11 year old is in bed at 9 on school nights and whenever on week-ends (even though she goes to sleep around 11 by herself)
