not saying that is the primary factor, but does it impress you at least? was a football jock undergad (non ivy league) and unfortunately women want to discuss that more.

I think it will kind of intimidate me because I'll refrain from saying intelligent things in fear of saying them wrong...

Hell, that's why I had the whole "innocent, naive, kind of stupid" thing going on with my ex.

When I was in my 20's, Jocks did interest me and looks too. Now I'm older and also College educated. i would have loved to have gotten into an Ivy league however, I still did fine.

Anyway, now, I definitely admire a man who has excelled in his education. yet, there would still have to be more (kindness, honesty, humor, confidence, sex appeal, etc). There are many College educated men, even upper level, who do not have people skills or good qualities about them. The fact that he went to an Ivy League does show discipline, fortitude, and intelligence though.

As far as jocks, well, lets just say they were nice to look at, maybe even have good times with, but in the long run it would not have been the right man for me.

If you're attracted to Ivy League women, you're in luck -- because a lot of us think smart and successful are sexier than anything else. Sure, you might get a second glance if you're the football captain and you're totally ripped, but it's when that football player starts talking about his particle physics research or his new perspective on John Rawls that makes our hearts stop. The guys who win the Rhodes Scholarship at my university are instant women-magnets every year; the class president is somehow just a bit hotter than anyone else.

I like a man who is able to keep up with me in a conversation and is not intimidated by my intelligience...where they are educated is irrelevant...

although, honestly, there are a great deal of people from these school that are snobs so it might be a turn off if they think their school is more important than who they really are as a person...so don't let it define you...

remember dubya is ivy league educated and look how not sexy he is...

Ivy League education? if he had that why has he not produced his transcripts from that Ivy League Education colleges, cause he can't, that is why. He is just a Sh*tcargo gangster from the sewer, was taught to speak with a teleprompter to gain control of a Country to destroy it, and that is what he is doing. He has had his birth certificate hidden, transcripts sealed and is lying and will continue to do so. Actually he is a low class piece of crap with expensive live style provided by anti america groups and his favorite other Rev. Wright lover name Oprah.

it depends on the whole package. I like smart, humorous guys with good character and integrity . Smartness does not equal education level.

I've met some very smart & confident guys who are not 'highly educated' . I'm very impressed by them.

Also some guys who are full of themselves becos they think they are graduate-school or jock material & behave like women should be so pleased or desperate to hv a date with them or something - that's a TURN OFF.

In fact, sometimes the other guys behave in a much more attractive way and pay more attention to the ladies and are more gentlemanly.

That seems like a very shallow thing to be impressed by. Why do you need the validation? Why not look at it like this: You've worked hard to be where you are and you are proud of yourself. That really should be enough!

If you dont want to talk about your jock days why dont you tell your dates that your football glory days are behind you and you'd much rather hear about them. I think that is much more impressing then listening to a guy talk about himself too much =)

Good luck.

No, because where ever you go to school does not determine what kind of person you are. He could go to an ivy league school and still be a jerk.

When it comes to what I'm attracted to, a sense of humor wins out every time. Love a man who has depth of character, honesty, intelligence, integrity and most of all, one who can make me laugh.

I don't really care which university a guy goes to, as long as it's accredited, secular, and Canadian. Also, I would prefer it if he had a BA, since that's what I'm getting.
