Probably not. What non Christians fail to understand is that the Christ came for the world. That includes this man Buddha. He did not set himself up as a god! Men of poor, or misguided spirits did that.
It seems to me that this man Buddha did the best he could with what he had and his heart was in the right and proper place. That's my opinion. What the truth is God knows... you and I don't. We do know that we are to have no other god before God almighty! The men and women who venerate Buddha as a god are the ones who are placing themselves in danger of an eternity away from the Holy Father. Not Buddha!
Come the judgement day our Messiah will know Buddha or He will not know Buddha. MY inclination is that the Christ will know this good man Buddha.
In the beginning was the word and the word was made flesh. Jesus of Nazareth was always here. He was there when Buddha set about his life to do the best he could under the circumstances of his life.
The Christ came for the whole world... before as well as after He was born amongst us.
Never forget that please... the Messiah came for the whole world. This includes Buddha, Confucius, and Gregory Dahmer.

As a Catholic, I would answer that I don'tt know. The Catholic Church never say anybody in hell, even people like Adolf Hitler. But the Catholic Church say that we can believe that some people are in heaven, they are the Saints, based on some scientific proof. You can ask a priest if you want to know more about this. And based on what Buddha taught during his life, and the time that he lived before the coming of Christ, IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, I would agree that he is in heaven now. Remember some important things:
1. Jesus came to save everybody, not just Christian. As long as they say if they want to be saved with their free will (even in the last chance before they die).
2. We, as Catholic, must follow Jesus' teaching, to be humble!
3. Even St. Peter left his wife to follow Jesus. I think that is an error that a human can do. Only Jesus is a Perfect Human, and only Him who has no error.
4. Don't judge and don't give a question which tempting people to judge, please? Because we are weak and we are very easy fallen in temptation to judge. Remember Jesus' teaching about a woman who caught commiting adultery? He doesn't judge and doesn't punish. People who punish theirselves.
5. Thank you!

The fundamental rule for many Christians will be that yes, he is - HOWEVER - Buddha lived before the arrival of Christ. Therefore, humanity lived under different rules not requiring belief in Christ (obviously because he hadn't arrived yet) - neither was Buddha a Jew, requiring to keep God's commandments. Therefore, as far as I can tell, God judged gentiles who lived in the pre-Christ era via the following of natural conscience - did these pre Christ gentiles follow the ethical and moral law natural to every human being? Buddha undoubtedly did and is therefore in heaven! If you believe in the Christian heaven, of course.

What has the wise, loving, lighthearted Buddha got to do with hell? Hell is not the abode of wise, loving and lighthearted persons. I suggest that you get a life, and put your dislike of the Christians to an end, it will do you good.

Couldn’t possibly be because…
Most Religions believe in one God. God goes by many names depending on where you reside. God, Yahweh, Allah. It’s like what's the difference between Aqua and Water?
Christianity is the only one with the Holy Trinity… And God has been around a lot longer the Christianity.
According to The Christians own bible Satan is not in Hell but currently in Heaven, his hell is future… But I guess they missed that.
“Satan is not in hell, the place created especially for him and his angels and he will certainly be cast into the lake of fire, but he is now heaven where he has access to God's presence and accuses the saints before Him, day and night”. His rejection from heaven, described in Revelation, is yet future.”
A few more things they may have missed…
Jesus said, "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war.”
Jesus said… “I am … the bright and morning star.” —Revelation 22:16
i.e, “I am Lucifer”
In his own words, though most did not know that the Morning Star is the planet Venus that stands for Lucifer a Latin word meaning "light-bearer" (from lux, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring")

Yes; I agree with Sixth Finger
I, personally, believe in the One who is Jesus Christ and God. However, many people can't know him, not because they don't want to, but because they don't have any way to! Imagine- you live on an island in the middle of the ocean, in a tribe. That peaceful little tribe lives within no contact of the outer world. If the Gospel wasn't preached there, are they condemned to Hell? Of course not! At the time of the rapture, everyone who does not know Jesus Christ has the opportunity to choose. I also believe that if a person lives a life with unknown sin that they will have this chance.

We don't know, but since Buddha taught most of the same things that Jesus taught I suspect Buddha was the type of person God wants in heaven.
Buddha never had the chance to accept Jesus as his savior, and since God is fair, God does not send people to hell who never had the chance to accept Jesus.

No person can truly judge what is in the heart of another. If Buddha came to a sudden realization of God before he died, then he could go to Heaven. The Bible says we should not judge the spiritual state of others, because we cannot know their hearts, all we can do is preach the gospel, encourage believers in their faith and strengthen our own relationship with God.
I think there will be plenty of surprises in Heaven regarding who is there and who is not, but it's not up to us to decide, it all depends on the one choice that all people must make: will you believe in God and seek a relationship with Him, or not?

I'll let God be the judge. I don't have the qualifications.
But according to scripture...
Jesus said, "no one will see the kingdom of Heaven unless they are born again." and " "i am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but through me."
What is "good" to God? Is anyone good? Everyone sins and falls short of God's glory. The pope sins, Buddha, Your mom.
All need forgiveness of sins. How is this done? Through the perfect sacrifice of God's sinless son, Jesus.
