Do you mean the story behind it? Daniel was an interpreter of dreams. Some of old Nebbi's men were getting jealous of the attention and favour Daniel was gaining with the King so they convinced the King to order a decree that none could pray during a certain time of day. Daniel always prayed three times a day at these times. The King did not want to sentence Daniel to death but knew that in order to keep the peace in his own kingdom he had to agree with the demands of the council. So of course Daniel prayed to God at the same times and was taken for disobeying the King's order and was "cast" into the lions den. Because of his faith in God the lions didn't attack. For more background on this time look to the story of Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego.

he was condemned to death by the court and sentenced to death by being devoured by lions. the soldiers who worked for the king at that time, sorry forgot his name, locked him in with the lions. but, the lions didnt eat him and he came out alive after a couple of days. so, he was put in the den by the soliders at the will of the king.

Trivia is not what's important about Daniel the prophet.
What's important is the allegoric moral of this story.
Daniel is called the "son of man": Daniel 8:17.
Son of man "should repent": Numbers 23:19.
Daniel notably had "night visions" (night mares),
from reading a book (of law: the 5 books of Moses)
God called the darkness "night": Genesis 1.
So then Daniel had "darkness"(night) visions.
(notice the plural on "visions", is not vision)
The "allegory" for darkness(night) is "law".
So then Daniel notably had law visions.
Which is to allegory say law night mares.
Which things are an "allegory": Galatians 4

The "abomination of desolation" spoken of by Daniel the prophet (of gloom and doom rather than groom and bloom) is the "law" (whoso readeth, let him understand: Matthew 24:15; Mark 13;14)

With all thy getting, get understanding: Proverbs 4;
And when understanding is embraced, then
thy head gets crowned, with "grace glory".

And then the king’s men grabbed Daniel and threw him into a pit filled with pacing, roaring, hot-breathed lions.

He was probably thrown down a hole into the pit. It would have been safer for everyone else that way.
