its most probably due to dryness or lack of proper nourishment for your hair. let me give you some quick tips:
1. trim out the split ends
2. before shampooing your hair, use olive/ coconut oil (little heated) on your scalp and leave for half n hour... use good egg- protien shampoo to clean your hair...shampoo atleast thrice every week...
3. drink lots of water, eat vegetables and exercise (boring stuff, i know). they really help.

Hi
We get split ends when the cuticle of the hair is damaged. Yes you can help avoid them. Wash your hair in cool water and gently pat excess water out. Use a leave in conditioner and blow dry sparingly on low heat. oh and brush out tangles before you wash. may you only have good hair days, krat

Because the ends of your hair is the oldest, it needs more attention. Trim your ends every 6-8 weeks, use a good moisturizing shampoo and/or conditioner, take it easy on the heat (blow drying, flat iron, etc.)

Do you overwash your hair or use to much heat appliances? That is a number one cause of split ends. Limiting these things can help fix the problem.
