Not if the conviction was for any FELONY. This applies to all the 50 states;it's a federal gun control law. Misdemeanor convictions don't mean anything in Florida, as regards to gun ownership.

Actualy yes. the previous two answerers were answering the question "can a convicted get back the right to BUY a gun in Florida?" to wich they were correct, however, all american citizens have a right to OWN a gun.

In my state (AR), a convicted felon can petition the governor of the state for a full pardon, or for simple restoration of gun rights. I don't know for sure, but, I suspect that FL has a similar statute. It's not all that uncommon

A convicted felon can go to court and have their conviction and arrest expunged from their record and then they have the same rights as anyone else!!
