Quote: "with a lot of racist they may over do it!"

We're not talking about lynch mobs, to go around the law, we're talking about enforcing legislation that's been on the books for decades. How can you "over do it" when it comes to enforcing the law of the land?

Recently, the Escondido,CA law, punishing landlords who rent to illegals, was challenged by...guess who....that's right, the ACLU. It was challenged on the basis that its the Feds exclusive duty to enforce immigration laws. Escondido folded like a house of cards in the face of the ACLU legal machine but, before they backed down, the illegal population of the town dropped by 1,000's.

We need thousands of small towns like Hazelton, PA and Escondido,CA to overwhelm the legal system with creative, local anti-illegal ordinances. Its the only way to force the Feds to enforce the laws. Power to the citizens!

As long as the states laws don't circumvent the federal laws I think its great. The federal government wont enforce its own immigration laws so someone has too..I live in AZ and we passed 4 great anti illegal alien laws last election. Its working
just fine for us and Arizona.
When the Federal Government begins to do its job then maybe the states wont have to.

It's a great idea, that way we could bypass the Federal government and all those corrupt politicians who are in the pocket of corporations. The true will of the American people could be enacted.

Since nothing is being done nationally about it, then local communities should be able to!

For example, people from Manchester banning those from Liverpool? Or perhaps United fans could ban City supporters?

Really it just shows that all immigration controls are arbitrary. Live and let live!

No it should be on the federal level. Reason: because if it is a community with a lot of racist they may over do it!
